North, South Pole Voting

With the general election in Russia scheduled for December 2, members of the Nenets tribe, a minority race that lives on Russia’s arctic Yamal Peninsula, are casting votes early at a temporary polling booth. On the very same day, researchers at the South Pole were casting their vote. These images remind us of the importance of voting.
