Lohri

An Indian Sikh is praying with his body soaked in a river in front of Golden Temple in Amritsar during the Lohri festival on January 13. Lohri is an Indian festival to celebrate passing winter and the approach of spring. During the festival, the Indians pray for fecundity and energy of life and have a bonfire festival in which they throw rice and corns to the fire. They also hold a kite-flying festival.
