Tribalfootball.com, a British soccer website, said on December 29 that AS Roma, an Italian pro-soccer club that belongs to Serie A, is seeking a loan agreement over South Korean international soccer player Lee Young-pyo (29, Tottenham Hotspur). The website reports AS Roma is expecting an answer in the next 24 hours over its inquiry for Lee. The website is known for reporting rumors circulating among football clubs. The website said Daniele Prade, the Italian club’s director general, flew to Britain and is discussing the loan agreement with Tottenham.

Lee Young-pyo pulled out of a move to Roma at the last minute and decided to stay in Tottenham this past August and there was a media report that he was trying to move to the Italian club again in October.

The South Korean defender’s agent said, “The report is not trustworthy because it is not understandable that Roma, which wanted Lee to move to the team, is now seeking a loan for Lee. It is unimaginable that Lee would be loaned to the Italian club.”
