Emperor Akihito’s second daughter-in-law Princess Kiko (39) gave birth to a boy by cesarean section at Tokyo’s Aiiku Hospital on September 6. The new baby is third in line for the throne after the Crown Prince Naruhito and Prince Akishino, following the male hereditary line. It is 41 years since a son was born in the Japanese Royal family. Japanese citizens are excited upon reading the special edition of the Asahi Shimbun.
