Handover

Lee Sang-hee (right), the chairman of the joint chief of staffs, and Burwell Bell, the commander of the U.S. forces in Korea shake hands after they signed to hand over CAS (Close Air Support) control duty from the U.S to Korea effective on August 31. CAS is one of the 10 military tasks to be transferred to South Korea according to the Korea-U.S. agreement in November 2003.
