Soyang River Dam opened all of its five water gates and started releasing 1,200 tons of water per second at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. It was the first time since Typhoon Maemi in 2003. The water level of the dam, which once went up to 189.85m, will decline to 185.5m, the restriction level. The water will reach the Han River in Seoul in 18 to 20 hours.
