Basque Ceasefire

Members of the Basque separatist group ETA in masks and berets declared a “permanent ceasefire” on TV at a Valencia municipal government office yesterday. The international community is keen to know whether genuine peace will take root in Spain’s Basque country, a region called the “last war zone in Western Europe.”
