Korean Actress Appears in Chinese Ads
Korean actress Lee Youngae is appearing as a spokesperson in TV commercials for a popular beverage company in China.
The 30-second commercial for Nungfu Tea began airing on CCTV1 on March 17.
The tea is the latest product from Chinas Nungfushanquan Corp., and Lee is the first Korean movie star to become a main character in commercials of one of Chinas mainland companies.
The beverage company not only features Lee in its commercial, but also has put Lees face on its 350ml plastic bottle of Nungfu tea.
On March 16, Lee was lauded for donating $50,000 to an elementary school in a neighboring rural area after a showcase for the commercials in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
