New Cardinal

Cheong Jin-suk (75, photo), the archbishop of Seoul, is likely to be appointed cardinal by the Vatican. Pope Benedict will reportedly announce 12 new cardinals at a meeting with the faithful including members of “Samsohoe,” a group of female followers of Buddhism, Catholicism, Won Buddhism, and the Anglican Church of Korea.
