Memorial Services

Leading up to the New Year’s holidays, Kooksoondang Brewery held an event yesterday for newlyweds and foreign couples to experience Korean ancestral memorial services. The event was held at Min-ga-da-hun, a restaurant located in Insa-dong, Seoul. Vice Commissioner Hwang Eui-wook of the Sungkyunkwan Ritual Study Commission explained a variety of memorial service customs, including the meanings behind different types of sacrificial food, and the correct way to partake of it.
