The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA) jointly released a close-up photo of dust and gases swirling in a place where thousands of new stars are being created. The Hubble Space Telescope took the picture in the Orion Nebula, 1,500 light years away from Earth. The four biggest stars are in the bright part at the center of the photo. The upper left part of the picture was also shining from ultraviolet rays emitted by a young star, M43.
