Chung Dong-young and Kim Jong Il

On the morning of June 17, Unification Minister Chung Dong-young is leaving Baekhwawon, the guesthouse where he is staying, for a meeting with National Defense Committee Chairman Kim Jong Il. He is currently on a visit to Pyongyang to attend the Grand Festival for National Reunification held to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the June 15 Inter-Korean Joint Statement. On the right is Chairman Kim back in September 2002 when he had attended a North Korea-Japan summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
