Cheonggye Stream Laid Bare to Citizens

The Cheonggye Stream in Seoul gave a slight glimpse of itself to citizens on May 1 before construction on it is completed, which is scheduled for October 1. On that day, 30,000 citizens who attended the “Preview of Cheonggye Stream,” a part of the “Hi Seoul Festival 2005,” are looking around the restoration site as they walk along the northern part of the Cheonggye Expressway in Hwanghak-dong, Jung-gu. Over 90 percent of the construction work to restore the stream has been completed, and the photo at the front is of Hwanghak Bridge.
