Constitutional Review of Capital Relocation Scheduled

On July 15, all members of the Constitutional Court (Chief Justice Yoon Yung-chul) opened the court review dealing with the “Special Bill to Construct the Relocation of the Administrative Capital.” Also, the day of the review and the verbal proceedings were discussed. The courts have mentioned that they will review the plaintiffs’ requests for judicial review until a reply from President Roh and six other related organizations is submitted to the courts. The courts have also mentioned the importance and the urgency of this case and have considered establishing centralized trials to take place. Generally, the justices review cases once every two weeks on Thursdays.
