The U.S. State Department revealed on Wednesday that the security commitment of U.S. towards Korea remains firm despite the dispatch of U.S. troops in Korea to Iraq.
In a briefing this day, U.S. State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said, The issue of relocating a U.S. brigade stationed in Korea and dispatching them to Iraq is a topic that has been discussed with the Korean government.
Spokesman Ereli underscored, What should be reminded is that whatever we do and whatever methods we take, it should not debilitate our security commitment to Korea or make any changes in fulfilling the responsibility in the treaty (that we have pledged to Korea).
