Sixth Anniversary of Kim Jong-il’s Election as General Secretary

The students are celebrating the sixth anniversary of the National Defense Commission Chairman Kim Jong-il’s election as the general secretary of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party in October 1997 by the joint nomination of the central commission and central military commission of the party in front of the monument memorializing the creation of the party in Pyongyang on October 8.
