Sprint Cinderella Kelly White (27. USA) dominated both 100m and 200m races to keep up the face of USA, the powerful in short-distance race.

This is the third time in woman`s short-distance race where an athlete swept 100m and 200m together, following Silke Gladisch (Germany) in 1987 and Katrin Krabbe (Germany) in 1991. No U.S. woman, including Jones, has ever won both events in the 20-year history of the world championships. Only three, again including Jones, have won the Olympic double.
White marked start-responding time of 0.178 seconds, later than her team mate Edwards (0.144 seconds, 100m silver medalist). Still, she spurted out explosively to win the race without trouble. Kurnicoba in the Track and Field circle Muriel Hurtis marked 4th with 22〃59.
White is going for the triple crown for the first time in short-distance race, participating in a 400m relay.
Kiucepe Kibilisco (24, Italy) became the new human bird in the pole vault jumping 5m 90 and cleared away Okkert Brits (5m 83, South Africa), renewing his best record by 8cm higher. Kibilisco is under instruction of coach Vitali Petrov. He taught Cergey Bubka (Ukraine) who erected monumental landmark by winning 6 straight championships Kibilisco marked 10th in 2000 Sydney Olympics and Europe Championship last year, but became the star presenting the first gold medal to his homeland.
Jana Pittman who awarded rising star prize from IAAF, beat Sandra Glober (53〃65, USA) to win the 400m hurdle race with 53〃22, her best record. Moreno from Cuba won the hammer throwing competition recording 73m 33.
