Chuseok Train Tickets To Be Sold July 15-16

Railroad tickets will be sold in advance for this year`s Chuseok holiday (September 11) on July 15 and 16.

Korean National Railroad (Korail) said on July 4 that those bound for Honam could purchase tickets on July 15 while those for other areas on July 16 from 8 a.m. through 11 a.m. One person can purchase as many as 8 tickets at one time. Leftover tickets can be purchased from 9 a.m. on July 17.

During the advance sales period, other services will be made available such as issuing tickets for journeys shorter than 100 km and booking tickets through the Internet or phone.

Korail said that it would charge a minimum fee of 600 won for a ticket refund until two days before departure and place a supervising employee in one ticket box.
