‘The second bright future of CDMA.’

The industry has attempted to find a world market by combining a source technology of Israel and a commercialization technology of Korean company. The industry has expected a good result like the CDMA technology which is taking the leadership in the market through commercializing the source technology of Qualcommed US.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) and ‘Korea-Israel Bi-national Industrial Research and Development Foundation(KOLIL-RDF) on September 2,’ it is forecasted that this business will be progressed and will increase under supports of bi-national governments.

Developed an unmanned driving test system, NEO TELECOM decided to develop ‘Integrated intelligence vehicle monitoring system’ through joint production with Locationnet Israel. The system integrates the navigation which a real time traffic information and anti-theft based on a location tracking, and the function which informs to drivers by checking a car status.

Gang Seon-Mu, the executive director of NEO TELECOM said “Partial combination of a vehicle and wireless communication has been realized. However, the source technology of Locationnet will lead an active advance of a domestic and foreign market. It will be a good chance to induce the vehicle to a category of wireless internet.”

AP Satellite Broadcast which has produced the set-top box for the satellite broadcast receiver, planned to develop the ‘bi-directional set-top box for the broadcasting digital’ with RUNCOM Israel. After developing the advanced set-top box with ‘bi-directional chip’ of RUNCOM, it will sell it to Europe and India from 2004.

Jo, Yeong-Heng, the executive director of AP Satellite Broadcast said “As the broadcasting has been changed into the digital steadily, the market has been expended”

Developed the Korean Scan system using PC for the first time in the country, HIART corporation will develop the equipment which can read documents by using a mobile phone with WIZCOMM, Israel. Unlike other fields, HIART corporation will provide a character recognition software and WIZCOMM will manufacture the equipment. It plans to produce the equipment which can read other languages except Korean.

Lee Byeong-Ho, the director of industrial technology bureau, MOCIE said “The combination of the commercialization technology of Korean industry and the source technology of Israel and Russia will bring about a big Synergy effect. We will extend supports for this field.“
