The prosecution, which is digging into the draft-dodging case involving Jung-yeon, eldest son of Lee Hoi-chang, presidential candidate of the Grand National Party, said on the 18th that it is probing into the written diagnosis for Jung-yeon issued in June 1990 by the Seoul National University Hospital since it has flaws.
The prosecution is said to secure the evidence showing that the diagnosis includes contents different from facts, and trying to discover whether the diagnosis was used by Jung-yeon to receive a physical examination.
The GNP said on the 9th that according to Jung-yeon`s medical document issued on June 1990 by the Seoul National University Hospital, he is required to have medical checkup to discover the reason for his underweight and to have additional physical examination later.
The prosecution, however, did not elaborate whether this is the part it sees as flawed or not. In the meantime, Kim Dae-up, who raised allegations that Jung-yeon was illegally exempted from military service, made public the full transcript of a audiotape he submitted to the prosecution, asserting that the transcript contains the testimony of Kim Do-sul, former military medical official that he was implicated in Jung-yeon`s draft-dodging process.
According to the transcript, Kim Do-sul said that he met at a coffee shop with Han In-ok, Lee Hoi-chang`s wife, who gave him about 20 million won, then he asked a favor to an official of the Military Manpower Administration. He also said that the official might deal with the matter through a person, who had connection in the Chuncheon Hospital.
The transcript also shows that Kim Do-sul drew up a report about Jung-yeon`s military exemption in the military prosecution.
On the first page of the transcript are the answers of Kim Do-sul to Kim Dae-up`s questions.
