Chong Wa Dae’s Special Political Advisor Park Ji-Won

President Kim Dae-Jung carried out a cabinet reshuffle on the 29th, which brought in new appointments in 8 ministries such as the senior presidential secretary Lee Sang-Joo in the position of the Education and Human Resources Development minister, and concurrently in the post of deputy Prime Minister.

President Kim reformed his secretary office, appointing Planning and Budget minister Jun Yoon-Chul as the chief secretary, and former policy planning chief Park Ji-Won as ministerial level- Special Political Advisor.

The President also changed 6 of 8 senior secretaries, promoting and appointing Park Seon-Sook as Senior Press Officer. She is the first female senior officer in history.

Former Small and Medium Business Administrator Han Joon-Ho was appointed as the Small and Medium Business’s special chairperson.

Chong Wa Dae explained that "The reshuffle considered several aspects like the administration’s maintenance of stability, expertise, and regional proportion. Our principle was to mainly appoint new personnel in their 50s, and return the assemblymen in active service to their political parties for electoral neutrality."
