Party President Lee Urges Cooperation . . . Expectations for Restoring Dialogue

▽ Changing relationship between ruling and opposition parties = The GNP president Lee Hoi-Chang announced at the presidential staff meeting, ``The opposition party will do its duties to the utmost in addressing the denials and corruption that anger the people and undermine the social order by creating chaos. However, we will move forward not with confrontation but cooperation in the political arena from now on.``

One Democratic Party member commented, ``The GNP which has become a giant opposition party must not play number politics but engage in constructive politics. We will be looking into restoring political dialogue with the opposition party and changes in how to run the government.``
