`Peanuts’ Showdown` in LPGA

In LPGA tour, in which many players are as tall as lampposts, Kim Mee-Hyun, Jang Jung, Allison Nicholas relatively shorter players.

According to the official tour profile, Nicholas is 5 feet (about 1.52m) tall, Kim Mee-Hyun is 5``1` (about 1.55m), and the height of Jang Jung is 5 ``2 ` (about 1.57m). But, it was known that Kim and Jang are actually 4~5 cm shorter.

These three players who are among the shortest five women in LPGA will have a `peanuts’ showdown.` They were assigned to play together as one group in the 1st and 2nd round of the Corning Classic (total prize money: $900.000), which will be held in the Corning CC, Corning, New York from 24th. Nicholas, Kim Mee-Hyun, and Jang Jung will start the first round at 1:20 AM, 25th. This is an indicative of their high box-office value.

This tournament, with the winning prize of $135.000, is a `preliminary skirmish` for next week’s U.S. Open, the second major tournament in this season. Pak Seri is not participating in this tournament for the U.S. Open preparation. However, 9 Korean players including Kim Mee-Hyun, Jang Jung, Park Jee-Eun, Park Hee-Jung, Pearl Shin, Han Hee-Won, Yeo Min-Sun, Ha Nan-Kyung, and Jenny Park will participate.
