Shin Jin-Shik boasts fastest spike
How fast is the speed of a volleyball spike? And which Korean player has the spike with the fastest speed?
The Dong-a Ilbo sports team checked the speed of the spikes and services of leading male players who will compete in the 2001 Super League to open Saturday with a speed gun.
Shin Jin-Shik of Samsung Fire & Marine Co. was found to have the fastest spike at an average speed of 101.5 kilometers per hour and a service speed of 105 kph. His spike service recorded 115 kph peak speed.
