An internet based cyber police site, which enables crimes to be reported and fines to be paid online, will be opened on Tuesday at 10am.
This site is a huge improvement on the previous site and will have a crime reporting center which enable users to report crimes, illegal businesses, and police irregularities, a civilian help desk where one can inquire into the progress of investigations and stolen vehicles, and a traffic help desk where fines can be paid, drivers license crimes can be inquired into, traffic accident reports can be issued, along with other useful services.
Besides this, a consultation center for women and adolescents and an information center with the latest data on foreign police trends are also expected soon. The cyber police station will be the first among government agencies to start an internet broadcasting station, which will provide police news, crime prevention classes and other crime related programs.
