Network Solutions, the principal company in the United States that provides internet domain registration, has announced that it would begin to offer domain registration services in Korean, Chinese and Japanese fonts at the end of this month.

Currently, all names, which precede the dot-com, dot-net and dot-org domains, must be in Roman letters and/or Arabic numbers. However, the new service will allow names in Korean, Chinese and Japanese fonts.

The company further revealed that the application for the new Web domain names would be taken on a first-come-first-served basis starting at the end of this month and that the registration fee would be announced at that time.

The company spokesperson said that the new service would be greatly beneficial to companies that seek to enter into the Korean, Chinese and Japanese markets and would also help protect the brand names of various international companies.
