'Super Peanut' tops LPGA Safeway

"Super Peanut¡± Kim Mi-Hyun, 23, of n016-Hanbyol, won her first LPGA trophy of the season in the US$800,000 Safeway Golf Championship after a 12-month winless streak.

Kim finished at 1-under-par 215 by scoring an even-par in the final round with five birdies, one double bogey and one triple bogey, tying Jang Jeong of Korea in the tournament held at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Northwest U.S. city of Portland, Oregon, on Monday Korean Standard Time.

In the LPGA¡¯s first playoff of only Koreans, Kim putted for par at the par-3, 175-yard No. 16 hole, beating Jang, who recorded a bogey with a three-putt.
