Park Chan-Ho gained his 15th win (8 losses) for the season after hurling an impressive 2-hitter against the Philadelphia Phillies. He gave up no runs in 8 innings and LA won 6-1. With this victory, Park is now ranked joint fourth in the wins category and his ERA has dropped to 3.45. Park tied his previous one-season win record, which he achieved in 1998. With around 5 more starts left in the season, not only does Park have a good chance of breaking his wins record, but could also surpass LA¡¯s wins record for an Asian pitcher, which was set by Hideo Nomo (16 wins) in 1996.

Throughout the game, Park showed his excellent crisis management skills. Although he only gave up 2 hits, his control was shaky at times. Park acknowledges his base on balls problem and in the game he gave up 7 walks. However, he managed to give up no runs by forcing batters to hit into double plays or getting them out on easy balls. Park is expected to start against the Colorado Rockies on the 10th.
