Man sets fire at hospital emergency room

A sailor seeking a medical checkup at Pusan National University Hospital poured one liter of paint thinner on the floor of the emergency room and set it on fire, forcing the evacuation of stunned patients.

The sailor, from a fishing vessel, came to the hospital for the medical checkup necessary for a job. Since August 11, he had gone to three different hospitals in the Pusan area but could not receive the checkup due to the general strike at the hospitals. The police revealed that he had prepared the paint thinner and that when he was refused a checkup again, he poured and lit the thinner.

The police revealed that he would be charged with arson.
