U.S. President-elect Donald Trump indicated to pressure China by using relations with two Chinas (China and Taiwan) in order to persuade the country to resolve North Korean nuclear issues. His comments imply a massive shake-up at the political circumstances in the Northeast Asia as the launch of Trump administration is scheduled on Jan. 20, 2017.

“I don’t know why we have to be bound by a One China policy unless we make a deal with China having to do with other things, including trade," Mr. Trump told Fox News on Dec. 11 (local time). "We’re being hurt very badly by China, frankly, with not helping us at all with North Korea.” He bluntly rapped out a complaint about China.

“You have North Korea. You have nuclear weapons and China could solve that problem and they’re not helping us at all," Trump said. "We’re being hurt very badly by China with deval‎uation, with taxing us heavy at the borders (hefty export tariffs on U.S. goods), with building a massive fortress (man-made island) in the middle of the South China Sea, which they shouldn’t’t be doing.”

“The One-China policy is the political foundation of China-U.S. relations and he suggests using the one China policy as a bargaining chip for short-term profits," the Global Times, which is published by the Communist Party’s mouthpiece, said. "In the field of diplomacy, he is as ignorant as a child.”
