Japanese anti-textbook campaigner Tawara Yoshifumi, secretary general of the Children and Textbooks Japan Network 21, is holding a brochure titled “What Shall We Do about the ‘Education Restoration’ plan of the Abe administration,” which is sold at 50 yen (5 U.S. dollars). “The most dangerous description in the Japanese textbooks is the part that glamorizes death in the name of emperors (kings of Japan). Prime Minister Shinzo Abe tries to change the textbooks in order to transform Japan into a country that can go into a war,” he said.
