A group of mandarin ducks, an endangered species designated in Korea as Natural Monument No. 327, spend the winter in the lower reaches of Jungnang Stream, a tributary of Seoul’s Han River. Sticking out their white bellies adorably, they seem as if they were stretching. The ducks will likely see a warmer day Saturday as the day’s temperatures are expected to range between zero and 9 degrees Celsius. Affected by a low atmospheric pressure passing the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, the central region except the east coast will probably see snow.
