Civil defense drill

An official at Seoul`s Seocho District Office sets off a smoke bomb and controls traffic Wednesday afternoon near Yangjae subway station in a nationwide civil defense drill. The car evacuation drill held Wednesday was the first in the country since the mass exercise was started in 1999. Criticism rose that certain people did not take the drill seriously.
