U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (left) and his wife Yoo Soon-taek Friday offer flowers at a monument honoring Korean victims of the World War II atomic bombings on Japan in a ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the bombings and a memorial service at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan. Ban was the first U.N. chief to attend the annual event, while nuclear powers such as the U.S., Britain and France sent government delegations for the first time.
