An American military helicopter lands Tuesday at the wrecked presidential palace in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince. Amid controversy over the U.S. occupation of Haiti, American troops used helicopters to advance into the capital city, searched the palace, occupied nearby areas, and began providing support for earthquake victims.
