The government has presented to the U.N. Security Council the results of an inspection on containers with cargo allegedly from North Korea seized in September, but the content remains a secret.
The National Intelligence Service and the (South) Korea Coast Guard had seized the containers three months ago in Busan.
A source familiar with Seouls diplomatic corps said yesterday, After investigating the content of the four seized containers, the government presented a report on the inspection to the U.N. Security Council.
The source declined to say what the containers held when seized, however.
The containers were on the MSC Rachele, a Panama-registered freighter, that left China and arrived at Busan New Port Sept. 22.
