Ceremony for Yeongsan River Restoration

President Lee Myung-bak holds hands yesterday with provincial leaders at the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of the Yeongsan River in the southern city of Gwangju. He was joined by Gwangju Metropolitan Council Chairman Kang Bak-won (far left of President Lee); Gwangju Mayor Park Gwang-tae (left); and South Jeolla Province Gov. Park Joon-young (right). Though another groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Geum River on the same day, President Lee only attended the one for the Yeongsan River.
