Rough First Day

In the annual parliamentary inspection of the administration at the Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry in central Seoul yesterday, the gavel is broken when Rep. Goh Heung-gil, chairman of the parliamentary committee on culture, sports, tourism, broadcasting and communications, attempts to open a session of the National Assembly. Opposition party members raised questions over a meeting between the ruling party and the government to prepare for the inspection, making operations difficult on the inspection`s opening day.
