Ex-North Korean Secretary

Hwang Jang-yeop, former secretary of the North Korean Workers` Party and once the No. 2 man in Pyongyang’s power structure, speaks to a group of Dong-A Ilbo reporters Friday at the newspaper’s headquarters in central Seoul. He visited a newspaper company’s office and gave a lecture and interview for the first time since defecting to South Korea in 1997.
