Dong-A Ilbo Follows Champion Climber

The Dong-A Ilbo accompanied champion mountaineer Park Young-seok, who has opened a “Korean route” at the southwestern wall of Mount Everest. Park sets a Dong-A Ilbo flag on the peak the moment he conquers the mountain via what he called a "hellish" southwestern wall Wednesday after four previous failures. Dong-A reporter Hwang In-chan was stationed in the base camp, and quoted Park as saying, “My challenges have just begun. I will develop new routes on the remaining 13 tallest mountains rising above 8,000 in the Himalayas,” on his way down.
