Spirit of Sharing Amid Crisis

Koreans last year gave an average of 197,000 won (143 U.S. dollars) to charity, according to a recent study. The "love temperature" tower at Seoul Plaza reaches the 90-degree Celsius mark. The Community Chest of Korea forecasts that the money collected from the “Hope, Spirit of Sharing 2009 - Sharing Campaign” will surpass the target of 208.5 billion won (151.4 million dollars). The campaign began last month and ends this month.
