North Korea breached the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the Yellow Sea yesterday.

Yesterday morning, at around 11:13 a.m., a North Korean patrol boat had sailed 2.1 kilometers south of the NLL, before retreating back north after being warned by South Korean naval ships, confirmed the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff considered the breach an unintended act. According to the officials, the North Korean naval vessel seemed to have gotten lost trying to control about 200 Chinese fishing boats around Yeongpyeong Island. North Korea has breached the line four times since late February.
