Park Chan-suk, 49, who played on the Korean women’s basketball in the 1970s and 1980s, now watches her daughter on the court. But unlike the mother’s renowned career as a basketball star, her daughter shows up on the court as a cheerleader. Despite their differences, fans still cheer for them.

It belatedly became known that Park’s 23-year-old eldest daughter, Seo Hyo-myeong, delighted fans as a member of the cheerleading squad for Woori Bank’s Chuncheon home games. Whenever the team had a home game, Seo got the fans going. Unlike her mother, who stands 190 cm tall, she is around 170 cm.

Seo was admitted to Sejong University in 2005 and hopes to become an actress. Seo now majors in acting. In a statement released by her agency, she confirmed that she briefly worked as a cheerleader, but reportedly plans to quit the job and return to school.
