Air-conditioned Overpass

The first ever air-conditioned pedestrian overpass with a clear round ceiling was completed in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, where temperatures reach up to 50 degrees Celsius in summer. The Dubai government decided to build such overpasses to reduce the increasing number of jaywalkers who fall victims to car accidents. It plans to build more of them across the city.
