Hat Trick of Ronaldo

Park Ji-sung’s Manchester United regained the lead in the English Premiere League.

Last season’s champion Manchester United beat Newcastle United 6-0 yesterday at its home game on the hat trick of Cristiano Ronaldo (in photo). Manchester now leads the league on a 16-3 record (3 draws). Technically, Manchester tied with Arsenal with a 51 PTS, but exceeded it with +33 GD, while the latter recorded +26 GD on its 1-1 draw with Birmingham City yesterday.

Manchester’s Ronaldo scored three goals, followed by Carlos Alberto Tevez’s two goals and Rio Gavin Ferdinand’s one goal. Park remained sub player in the game.

Park told the press after the game, “I have no problems. Everything’s fine,” minimizing his failure to run in the game.

Lee Young-pyo, 31, of Tottenham Hotspur played the whole 90 minutes of his team’s away against Chelsea as starter. By the game, he has started 11 consecutive games so far. Chelsea shut out Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.

Other Korean soccer players, Lee Dong-guk of Middlesbrough, 28, and Seol Ki-hyeon of Fulham did not appear in the games. Lee’s team tied its home game with Liverpool 1-1, while Seol’s team lost its away game to the West Ham United 1-2.

Across the Dover, Lee Chun-soo who now plays in the Dutch league for Feyenoord started playing at 27, but did not score any goal. His team lost 0-1.
