The government reported yesterday that the full text of Korean-U.S free trade agreement will be disclosed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s website at 10:00 a.m. on May 25.

Although the main contents were already made public just after they reached a conclusion on April 2, the scheduled disclosure of the document draws attention since both nations have made further negotiations when putting the agreed facts into written a form of an accord.

The documents scheduled to be released include the full text of the agreement, consisting of the main text, its annex and a commitment report, written on 1,300 pages in Korean and 1,400 pages in English, 280-page long reference materials, and a 30- page long terminology guide book.

Lee Hye-min, South Korea’s deputy chief negotiator in free trade talks with the U.S, said, “The document’s release of the free trade agreement will clear up unnecessary misunderstandings by the opponents of the FTA.
