As part of the Hi Seoul Festival, the first international rope-dancing event was held on the Han River Park near the Seongsan Bridge yesterday. Korea’s Gwon Won-tae is performing the dance on a kilometer-long rope. The performer from the Anseong City troupe “Bauduki” became famous for his stand-in as “Jangsaeng” (starring Gam Woo-seong) in the film, “the King and the Clown.” He has become a human cultural treasure for his folk rope dancing.
