Taegeuk Cakes

On February 26, with the 88th anniversary of the Independence Movement Day three days away, descendents of national independence fighters are waving small Taegeuk flags, remembering the desire for independence of their parents and grandparents. At the Independence Park located in Seodaemun-gu, they made a huge national flag with rice cakes. This event was held after mobile service provider KTF announced a partnership with 30 independent fighter descendents to offer them scholarships. Since their forefathers dedicated themselves to national independence and gave up wealth and honor, the sons and daughters of those fighters are suffering poverty.
