Meeting with the IOC

On February 17, President Roh Moo-hyun is shaking hands with IOC member Park Yong-sung at Cheong Wa Dae, prior to meeting with the IOC Evaluation Commission that arrived in Pyeongchang for on-site visits. President Roh recently granted a special amnesty to IOC member Park Yong-sung, who was indicted for embezzling, in an effort to help promote Pyeongchang as a bid city for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Left of Park is another IOC member, Lee Kun-hee, Samsung chairman, and Minister of Culture and Tourism Kim Myung-gon.
