Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao is expected to visit Korea and Japan in April 2007. It will be his first visit to Korea.

Diplomatic sources in Beijing said on Friday, “The prime minister’s visit will correspond with the opening ceremony for ‘The Year of Exchanges between Korea and China,’ which is slated to be held in Seoul in early or mid-April.”

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China, and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.
